!The season of the markets has begun! And from El Galgo Azul we have fired the starting gun in Valencia, in the first Festival of Families and Pets that was celebrated in the city.
It was a very intense weekend, full of activities and with the nerves on the surface so that everything went well. And the effort was worth it because the best of the event was you: your reactions to seeing the new collection, the smiles and all the anecdotes that you gave us. You give us life!
FAMAS FEST: THE FIRST FAMILY AND PET FESTIVAL IN VALENCIA
We are addicted to markets! And it is that, apart from being the indicator of the arrival of good weather, we love that of leaving for new cities with our van, infecting new friends with acute galguitis, the hugs of always and, above all, those hairy that conquer us with licking blows. With each visit, you recharge us with energy, the one that feeds our spirit and gives us strength to continue creating, that we so miss when we communicate from behind the screens.
For all this, we usually do several a year And this time, while we were looking for news, we came across a new event in a city that we had not yet officially visited: the Famas Fest in Valencia. Finally we were one of the chosen brands and a couple of weekends ago, we left for the capital of the Turia.
It was the first edition of a festival designed as a gathering place for families and pets, as well as for claim the need for more leisure activities in which we can participate with our animals. Apart from organizing talks and workshops, the important work of the protectors was not forgotten, with part of the ticket collection being allocated to the protector of the city, Modepran, as well as giving them a space from which to publicize their work and their more than 700 dogs and 400 cats hosted in their facilities.
SHOWING DOG LOVE AND EXCLUSIVE PRODUCTS
After a very gray week in Barcelona, València welcomed us with a lot of sun and temperatures with a flavor of summer. With time as an ally, people went out to enjoy the weekend and, many of them, went through our corner in the Nursery Garden.
And since it could not be missing in a fair dedicated to families with furry animals, we boast of new collection Amor Perruno, filling our stands with our t-shirts, greyhound stamps, vinyls, patches ... and also with new click necklaces, brimming with color and suitable for all dogs, regardless of their breed or size.
But the visitors were not only able to see our latest collections in person, they also had the opportunity to take with them a portrait of her furry, made live in front of you, personalized to the last detail. And not only that, they were also able to exclusively acquire a new product resulting from a very special collaboration ...
And we did not make the trip alone, we were lucky to travel very well accompanied. Elena Kaede from Tambourine Mustache joined this adventure and we were able to set up our stands next to each other, perfect to share with everyone who approached our latest launch: a limited edition doormat that will be available on the web very soon, although some lucky ones could already get hold of him in Valencia 🙂
WITH THE SUITCASES LOADED WITH LOVE AND HAIRS
The market was held on Saturday and Sunday, from early to late in the afternoon, so we ended up very tired. Still, we didn't have many empty hours because Many of the friends we have in the city came to recharge us with a good dose of human warmth.
Human and dog, that finally we were able to devirtualize many of our Instagram followers, giving us smiles and many anecdotes. Like the Yorkshire that conquered our booth in one leap or the Great Dane that was almost bigger than our stop. And greyhounds, of all types and colors: whippets, Italian greyhounds, Spanish greyhounds ... Accompanied by their owners or their foster homes who took advantage of the event to find them a permanent home. Hundreds of new hairs that nested in our hearts.
As a point to improve, We feel that the market part could have been more cared for. With the exception of Elena Kaede and us, there weren't many brands dedicated to animal products and there wasn't a list of participants either. But the atmosphere was second to none: many families and more dogs, all walking, meeting and playing. Showing that they can coexist and enjoy the city, not just the walks in the park.
